About Co-Generation

With the addition of back pressure steam turbines, the over all plant efficiency can be increased by 30%.  Moreover, the same back pressure steam turbine generator can provide up to 50% of the plants electrical needs.

An efficient steam Co-Generation plant utilizing high pressure boilers (Rentech Boilers) and back pressure steam turbine generators (Elliott /Steam Power) coupled with a high efficient heat recovery system (Sofame Technologies) can produce electrical power, at an overall efficiency of 80%. By, contrast central utility companies generate power at 33%, (according to the USDOE.)

Advantages:
Reduced fuel cost 10-40%.
20-50% reduction in purchased power.
Improved reliability and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
